Thomas Meyerhoffer is a creator and a visionary. Born in Sweden in 1965, after earning a degree in Industrial Design from Art Center, he started his journey with an internship at Porsche, only to go west to California to join IDEO. It was there, working with Naoto Fukasawa, that Meyerhoffer was introduced to the idea of giving objects meaning through its form. He further formed these notions at Apple working alongside Sir Jony Ive on projects like the eMate and iMac – an experience which further led his practice across the fields of art, craft and technology. These theories, along with contemporary culture, shape Meyerhoffer’s design practice today. His designs are experienced by hundreds of millions of people in the world, everyday.

Meyerhoffer is the recipient of a wide range of International Design Awards and holds hundreds of patents. His work has been featured in international press such as The New York Times, Financial Times, Domus and The Surfers Journal. It has been included in museums and exhibitions around the world, such as The Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum NYC, SF MOMA and the Design Museum in London.

Meyerhoffer has had ongoing collaborations with an unusually broad range of leading brands such as Coca-cola, Nike and Apple to name a few. In 2018 he developed the design strategy for Michael Bloomberg’s presidential campaign. In addition to overseeing his own design studio Meyerhoffer is an active entrepreneur. He is Co-Founder and CDO of Latch, a startup that went public on Nasdaq in 2021. Currently he is advising and collaborating with several successful startups such as Worldcoin.
